Recruitment exam for Odisha Police Group-B posts stopped

 

The Bhubaneswar-Oodisha government on Thursday said that the “inevitable situation” held a written examination for the recruitment of group-B posts in the police department, an official statement said. He said that the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) examination was to be held at various centers in Odisha from 8 to March March.Also Read: ADRE results 2025 announced: Here is how to check the results of Assam Grade 3 and Grade 4

In January, OPRB issued ads for recruitment of 33333 vacancies in the police department, including 609 sub-inspector posts, 253 SIs (armed) posts, 47 station officers (fire service) posts and 24 Assistant Jail posts.

Many aspirants, however, objected to the Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) and the Group-B posts in the police department for taking two written exams on March 9.

The aspirants had demanded at least a trial postponement.
